Covid-19 testing requirements & locations for those traveling from Cozumel to Canada
Unvaccinated travelers: You will need to show either an electronic or printed copy of your negative test when you check-in at the airline counter at the airport.
Vaccinated travelers: There are new requirements for all fully vaccinated travelers who have been in any country other than Canada and the United States in the 14 days prior to entry to Canada. Fully vaccinated travelers who are selected for arrival testing must quarantine in a suitable place until they receive a negative test result. The Government of Canada is increasing the number of fully vaccinated travelers being selected for testing to reach 100% of vaccinated travelers in the coming weeks. Bring the following to get tested:
- Official ID (passport)
- Email address
Prior to the PCR test, refrain from the following for at least 3 hours:
- Eating
- Smoking
- Drinking
- Brushing your teeth
- Mouthwash
- Nasal drops or nasal spray
Testing locations
Cozumel has multiple Covid-19 testing locations. PLUS several hotels and resorts are offering on-site Covid-19 testing. Please check with your hotel or resort to see if they provide the service.
