Cozumel hot tips is a brand new service and the first month’s tips are strewn around our Facebook page. In future months as we will be placing old (but still, we hope, pertinent and accurate) tips in this section.
- Pay in PESOS. $100 pesos is not the equivalent of $10 USD. It may make it easier to calculate, but the dollar hovering around 18-19 pesos right now
- Skip the money exchange booths and use the ATM machines…you will save yourself some $$$
- It is safe to use a credit card at hotels and larger restaurants & shops
- Don’t drink the water. It is fine for some things, but not for all. Just don’t drink tap water and you’ll be fine. All ice on the island is made from bottled water
