Cozumel My Cozumel statueGreat restaurants abound in El Centro. From 5 star dining to inexpensive little loncherias where the tortillas are fresh, hot and cooked while you wait and arrachera strip steaks sizzle on the grill.

Although Cozumel is nothing like Party-Hard Cancun, dance clubs like Viva Mexico rock until the wee hours of the morning. Some even offer free salsa lessons with Cuban dance instructors! Bars stay open late too.

And if you like to Shop, you can spend days prowling the back streets of town getting the best prices on everything from silver jewelry to leather goods to beaded purses and carved and painted wood.

All these reasons and more make the downtown El Centro Area a super place to visit.

But what many people don’t realize is that it can also be a great place to stay–provided you pick your location carefully.

We think staying in or near the El Centro district offers the best of all worlds.

You’ll get a lot more bounce to your vacation dollar on accommodations. And with the money you save you’ll have extra for restaurants and taxis or rental cars to take you to a different beach club or park every day of your trip.
