Typically, the best time to visit Cozumel is from March to June, when the island enjoys daytime highs between 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit and nighttime temperatures in the 70s.

May through November are the rainiest months of the year in Cozumel. Mid-fall is the time that hurricanes are likely to occur. Rain in Cozumel tends to come and go fairly quickly, but there are days when rain consumes the entire island. If you are on the island during a rain-spell, make the most of it! Grab some rain boots and a poncho and do what you planned to do. Often times it will be raining on one part of the island but not the other.

November through February is norte season. A Cozumel norte is a cold front with winds coming in from the north. Cold to Cozumeleños equates to daytime temperatures in the 70-80s. If you are on the island during norte season, be prepared with a light jacket and dress in layers.

Cozumel Weather Averages:
Hottest month: August with an average temperature of 82°F (28°C)
Coldest month: January & December with an average temperature of 75°F (24°C)
Sunniest month: April with the least average rainfall days
Wettest month: October with an average of 9.6 inches (247mm) of rain.

Any day in Cozumel is better than a day not in Cozumel! Plan for the weather and be prepared by packing accordingly.  If you are staying in town it will feel a bit warmer. The farther you get out of town the cooler it will feel.
