Cozumel Property Tax Discount 2019

Attention Cozumel Property Owners! The Cozumel Property Tax Discount for 2019 has been established.

On November 26, 2018 the Municipal President, Pedro Joaquín, led the third ordinary session of cabildo, where the “program of discounts on the tax and rights tax” was approved Service of collection, transportation, treatment and final destination of solid waste 2019 “, with this the city council contributes to the economy of the Cozumel, providing facilities to meet their obligations.

Property Tax Discounts:

  • 20% discount 3 December 2018 to 11 January 2019
  • 15% discount 12 January to 9 February 2019
  • 10% discount 11 February to 28 February 2019

Note: In the case of persons with a disability, pensioner, retired or who has the credential of the National Institute of older adults (also) or the National Institute of the (Insen), you can be granted a discount of up to 50% of the total annual amount, as long as it is covered in a single exhibition in advance.

Solid Waste Discount:

  • 10% discount 3 December 2018 to 28 February 2019

The Cozumel Ironman is being held on Sunday, November 18, 2018. This event brings out the best of Cozumel residents and visitors. From the 100’s of volunteers to the streets lined with supporters, Cozumel welcomes and cheers on the athletes.

  • 2.4 mile (3.86 km), single-lap SWIM
  • 112 mile (80 km), three-loop BIKE ride
  • 26.2-mile (42.2 km), three-loop RUN

More Cruise Ships This Week!

Cozumel will have a busy week for cruise ships! A total of 25 ships will dock in Cozumel this week…approximately 79,000 passengers! With Friday, October 26th (7 ships ) and Saturday, October 27th (5 ships) being the busiest. Expect to encounter increased traffic near the International and Puerta Maya piers this week!
